Running Theology
This blog is a collision of two of my passions: running and thinking about God. If you're here, the chances are you're either a runner or a Christian. Or maybe, like me, both. If you're neither, then I hope you discover the joy that each have to offer and how beautifully well they fit together.

τρÎχω or trexo, meaning run or running
λογία or logia meaning word or study of

The blog will be mostly reflections on running and issues of faith rather than a systematic analysis. But I hope to pull together lots of interesting threads.I would love to develop conversation , so please do comment on the posts with your now thoughts or get in contact if you'd like to connect.

If you find it interesting, please do tell your running friends about it.
Running
My personal story
I'm a very average runner! I'm not really built for it and I'm not super fast. But I enjoy it. Discovering ultramarathons was the breakthrough moment for my running though. Whilst I don't really have loads of natural talent for running, I do seem to have a good mindset for the longer stuff. I enjoy just plugging away steadily, especially if there is a view to be enjoyed. In 2021 I completed my first 100+ miler.
I mostly train on my own to enjoy a bit of solitude but I also run with Morley Running Club which is a fantastic local club with some really lovely people.
Like most people, my training is patchy and the pendulum swings between laziness and super enthusiasm! Here, have a nosey at my Strava & add me if you like...
My Life
Is gooooooood!
I'm married to Abby, who is incredible, and we have three little boys. We live in Morley in West Yorkshire, England where I'm vicar of an amazing church called St Peter's Morley. I love coffee, craft beer and scotch whisky. And all food.
